U5 & 6 Task 4 – Plan and Organise

We have 4 weeks in total to complete this project which means we have to move quickly and efficiently to get everything right. We have 12 commission lessons with the tutor which is 7 hours per week to practice with the tutor available which means we have 28 hours in total, during these sessions we will most likely be working on our class silent movie scene and our group scenes if some of us are not working with people outside of our groups. We also have 8 hours and 45 minuets of directed and self directed sessions which is 35 hours of self directed and directed study which would be used for monologues, prop making and running through lines with who you can find at the time.

In the progress sharing we couldn’t perform “Breakfast Club” because we were missing Sabrina and Tom so we could only show the silent movie and “Juno”. The silent movie went well however we didn’t have the music so we were slightly out of time with reactions because when we have the music we will rely on the music to time our reactions so we can all be synchronised. Juno also went well however I spoke too fast, this was because I was still getting used to the accent but it went well considering the movement because I managed to catch all sides of the audience.

  1. Task 4 planning & schedule – This is a very clear and detailed diary of what happened, but it isn’t really a forward looking plan or schedule. The schedule should be formulated at the START of a project with all the unavoidable and given things marked clearly – for example the tech/dress, the deadline for being off-book, the costume deadline, any holidays or off-timetable days that can’t be used for rehearsal etc. It should be a plan to work towards – even though it will always change as you go along because of unforeseeable things like illness.
